The attacks caused the deaths of 2,996 people and the injuries of more than 6,000 others. The death toll included 265 on the four planes (from which there were no survivors), 2,606 in the World Trade Center and in the surrounding area, and 125 at the Pentagon. Nearly all of those who perished were civilians with the exceptions of 343 firefighters, 72 law enforcement officers, 55 military personnel, and the 19 terrorists who died in the attacks.
God Bless the 2,977 victims and their families, of the worst atrocity in my lifetime.
Should always be remembered. Glad you made a distinction between the terrorists and the victims. That needs to be sorted out and made law as the narrative is being pushed in NI that the terrorists are victims.

In 1997 I visited the twin towers . They were so high the lift could only travel half way up then you had to cross the building to take another lift to the top .I remember getting out at the top and speaking to a Policeman who said he stood outside the lift six days a week as was his job .He was to young to have retired ,so unless it happened on his day off this poor bloke had no chance of getting out .Still think of him whenever this atrocity is mentioned .
