Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of WELLS DE LUNE (FR), which started favourite and was pulled up, during routine testing, revealed the gelding to have bled from the nose.

i know that last 60 secs is amazing. even 5 mins before the off it can look like going the other way.
agree jmdc but the winner went up a fair bit too for it's recent win so they didnt have an awful lot running for them |
