By:
she very nearly lost 2nd there
By:
did she keep second? took it very easy near the end
By:
amazing how the market knows the outcome before the race, drifted like a barge, winner 10's into 7/2
By:
Disappointed with that run.
By:
Winner lands gamble after nearly coming down in the early stages.
By:
If that was off, it was a shocking ride from JG.
By:
bizarre market all round, lysander belle was smashed this morning into around 2/1 fav, drifts back out and first beat tailed off ..
By:
she should of stayed at home and done the hoovering
By:
Winner could of fallen got up and still won so many horses being stopped
By:
got 2nd by about an inch
By:
I suspect the winner and the second are a fair bit better than the others in that race.

this betting lark must be geared around how the horse looks just before the off. You can back a horse till the cows come home the night before and in the morning, but when the horse looks on its toes, sweating up, anxious just before the off, all the hope evaporates, I suppose thats why they start drifting again before the off.
am I right? |
By:
the man from del monte says yes or no in the 5 minutes before the off
By:
i'd say less thatn that, 2 mins imo
By:
a lot can happen in 3 mins
By:
maths is getting better |

I've been saying for ages that those early markets are a menace and need to be done away with. People betting 7 hours or more before the off hoping to pinch a point or two and marking the bookies cards.
