I'm surprised this is as big as 4.6 on here at present. At Catterick and Chepstow last year he ran to 85 and 86 and they were two very solid efforts. Reverted to hurdles since, he has struggled off marks in the high 130s and low 140s, but having ended the NH season with a good effort at Aintree off 135, he had a break before returning at Newmarket. He travelled well for a long way that day off 82, but got tired and I think the run was just a prep for his run at Galway.
Despite only coming 12th, he may have found the ground too sticky for him, as his best efforts have come on good or good to soft ground and I feel he may have just not been suited by the testing ground.
Now over hurdles he is a solid 135 horse, and horses translate around 40-45lb difference from Flat to jumps so I feel there is grounds that he could be a 90-95 horse on the level, so back to 2m on good ground, he is off 80, and therefore could have a bit in hand.
I like John Quinn as a trainer and for me the fav is a solid 85 horse, and has been running well to his mark this season but just doesn't look well handicapped to me.
Aside of Angel Gabrial the remainder of his rivals have been running like poorly handicapped or out of form horses lately and whilst Angel Gabrial is interesting now down to 73, he may find the likes of the fav and Project Bluebook a bit too classy for him these days, but I do think he'll be in the four.
I think Project Bluebook is a potentially very well handicapped horse, and against horses that are probably held off their marks, he looks attractive to me.
Having run to 86 and 85 in two races this time last year off this mark, I suspect another big run is on the cards.
4.6 in the win, 1,74 in the place market and 1.46 in the 4 place market look great value to me.
£100 4 Place @ 1.40 (not matched yet) £50 Place @ 1.74 (matched) £30 Win @ 4.6 (matched)
Can't see him out the 3, and firmly think he is the well treated horse in the race and should win.
I've had a fun W/P bet on Angel Gabriel, owned by Doctor Marwan Koukash who loves winners at Chester (has 2 in the race). Getting on a bit now, but racing off a low mark.
Domino,Good luck. A decent hurdler last yearI've had a fun W/P bet on Angel Gabriel, owned by Doctor Marwan Koukash who loves winners at Chester (has 2 in the race). Getting on a bit now, but racing off a low mark.
Agree Andrew, as said , could see him in the 4, but for me he's just a bit regressive these days, and against solid horses, may find one or two too good.
Good luck all the same, and hope you come second to mine :)

£40 loss, every chance, not good enough, thought was making a race winning move when he kicked for home, but no sooner than he got there he stopped. Well done on your place Andrew.

What I don't understand is what is it exactly that he gets out of posting untruths? In the greater scheme of things most people on here wouldn't give a monkeys what anyone else was up to win or lose, well I don't anyway.

i dont get your point? are you saying it makes sense that some weighted average of 1.39, 1.4 and 1.41 is 1.44?

as far as i can read this delta you are suggesting that if i back a horse at 3/1 in the AM and 4/1 just before the off, i would be paid out at 6/1 (i.e. the average of the 2)?
please help

Nit picking over a couple of quid in a post is a bit daft imo. Why isn't someone querying his original staking of this bet, he's basically risked another £150 to try to protect his £30 stake at 7/2. The win would have won him just £108, he could have had 5 more bets on 7/2 chances with his saving stakes. His place bets if both successful would have only returned about £77 profit. Just one 7/2 winner out of his next 5 selections would return £105! We all know he's told porkies, lots of people do on anonymous forums but he does know a lot about form analysis and racing in general even if his gambling is atrocious!

Although I did anticipate you would rise to No. 1 Betfair Forumite, I certainly didn't anticipate your rapid rise in the ratings.
Time for a new ID, and personality.

Stewarts rise. " We all know he's told porkies, lots of people do on anonymous forums but he does know a lot about form analysis and racing in general even if his gambling is atrocious " Does his form analysis produce a profit ? I don't know how he finds the time to type it. He may copy it all from elsewhere. Certainly he can't have much time to spend with the rich wife and three kids.
