High or low draw in sprints at Southwell ?

If high, then Jack The Truth is very much over priced at 12/1 in the 3.35.

General Tufto making his 6,238th appearance at the track

Feel sorry for this horse now. His winning days are over and he is as low as 39 in the handicap and always having to run 7lb minimum out the weights. Connections should do the right thing and retire him, he owes them nothing but is gone at the game and it's unfair on the horse to keep running him.

Hasn't posted a figure above 35 since January and has been struggling for speed even over a mile nowadays

Running the horse over 7f is not fair on him one bit.

I fear this poor horse is one of those that will end up collapsing on the track.

He deserves a happy retirement, he's 13 now and has been running since he was a 2yo for Roger Charlton, too much for a horse to be asked to run as much as he has, when he has deteriorated so much this last 6 months.

There were 3 meetings earlier this year when they must have done the harrowing differently, low drawn horses had a big advantage. That was not the norm, I prefer horses drawn middle to high, value can be had on horses running here for the first time especially when they have worked on the track.

"Proper racing starts again tomorrow"

----------

THAT - Must be the worst Thread Title ever posted on here.

We are all aware if the 'differences' of Southwell - aswell as it's vagaries ...

As the meetings starts with a big-priced Winner ... Who has NEVER run at the track before - and trained by a Trainer with just a 3% Strike-Rate ...

Enjoy.
