I know it's been beaten fair and square , but why did Jamie take a look 2f out over his right shoulder then move off the rail to allow Colonel Frank a smooth run through.

Flat out from the front ? God no, I never had a great clock in my head, even if asked to lead I would prefer to sit 2nd or 3rd and get a tow in.

Puzzled - on a different thread, didn't you call him the 'best jockey riding' or similar - surely you know why he did that then?

@Stu

As said, I think he is tactically and naturally the best rider around, but for me today he knew he was starting to pack peddle on this horse today and I'm sure Fran Berry probably shouted something at him, which is why Jamie looked over and then proceeded to make sure Fran got the dream run, knowing his horse was stopping and wouldn't win. As a rider it's not something I would have ever done, even if I knew I was going nowhere, but some riders do it.
It doesn't detract that I think Spencer is the best rider out there, but for me the manoeuvre today could have been made to look, lets say a little less obvious!
