The knowledgeable York crowd is there at the Dante meeting in May.

Isn't their 'special day' the John Smith's (Magnet) Cup day?

I've heard that the alcohol consumption on that day tops all the others.

John Smiths Cup day is known locally as Geordie day

Ebor day is known locally as 'travellers' day

Both days best avoided
