can anybody tell me the rules for dead heating on betfair. Last night had a minimal return on Scottish Jig ?? About 1/20 !!  Thought it was half stake  x odds??

Yes, half stake times odds.

If you had 100 on at 2.1, you are paid as thought you had 50 on at 2.1, which equals 105.

Unlucky though, there was a stewards and the other one should have been demoted.

Half stake settled as a winner, half stake settled as a loser.

So anything odds-on, you lose money.

In markzz example, you make +55 profit on one half of the bet and lose -50 on the other, so you're +5 (before commission) overall.
