Actually it wasn't Madame Jones, was just about to correct myself but domino has done it already.
Report Barton Bank August 23, 2018 9:06 PM BST
Madame Jones did run 61 times in a season including running on consecutive days a few times though.

Panther was also due to run twice in a day at Nottingham and then Wolves, but after massive stick from the press the trainer pulled it out of one of the races.

David Chapman and David Evans were the main trainers to do it.

not doubting Armington Girl but a few on here will confirm if it did. like i said domimo imo it wasnt many or many trainers. will be astounded if there was more than a couple but happy to say i was wrong

Prob 3 or 4 trainers but deffo Chapman and Evans.

Evans got a lot of bad press over Armington Girl and I think the BHA made a rule in the early 2000s that a horse could no longer run twice in a day. but that wouldn't stop you running in the 9pm at wolves and running in the 2pm at Lingfield the next day, which kind of defeats the rule.

There was one that ran twice within 24 hours at Yarmouh recently. Lethal Angel (Stuart Williams) ran in the 7:50 on Aug 8th and the 1:50 on Aug 9th, finishing second in both races.
