IT'S SELDOM I WIN MORE ON HERE IN A DAY THAN I EARN OUT OF THE FIRM ..

Maybe a 10 grand win including a decent placepot would be the best on Betfair ..

I once have a 4 way share in the Romford dogs rollover jackpot that paid £26,000.

But my only input in the bet was my stake which was about £300 !!!!!!!!

This thread has now demonstrated as to why there was nothing about this 1/12 shot being beaten or anything much else about the night's racing. On Thursday nights I am not on here but always used to look in when I got home to see what has been happening but these days it is a waste of time.

Mr Shaftoe......I would never play either way in any race where an animal was shorter than about 1.8.

Good luck to those who do, but its not my style of racing enjoyment.

I prefer larger meeting handicap races , ( where everything should have some sort of chance by the handicapper ))and a normal bet might be 50 win, and 100 place on my fancy about 8/1..10/1.

I know that you are in a different league to most, if not all,on this exchange, betting/profit wise, ...and very good luck to ya.....nothing comes easy and without effort.

With regard to my forum name, I chose it after I'd just sold a very large business,..and I was feeling like King Dick. (don't like the name now, but had it for 16 years ).

Just remember when you're unnecessarily goading some of us with your own account/betting prowess,.. that our wealth may well be beyond your own known parameters.

Enjoy your betting success certainly, but ease up a bit on the constant ridicule of others.

It does someone with your expertise on here no favours at all.....and may garner contempt rather than admiration.

Chatting on here about betting and racing intrigue is what we all really enjoy.

Many good folks are put off though, by the certainty of a particular group of people who see the spiteful demeaning of another poster, as a blood sport.

I'm not a very good punter,.. but I don't need someone else to rub it in !!

gambling is simply about 1 criteria...VALUE.

if you think a 1/12 should be 1/16 then its value. if you disagree then lay it.

tis no different from betting a 7/2 that you think should be 3/1.

Have to agree with willie about value I backed it at 1.12 cos I thought it was a good thing but the moment stalls opened and the other one gifted a easy slow lead knew I was in trouble was amazed i could back the leader at 10 and got out with a fifty profit.If they meet again would still back the stoute horse as i thought he was given a shocking ride.
