total net deposits £10036.86 and more than likely another £15000.00 with various bookies.

its cost me around £25000.00 to get my education in horse racing and 8 years of learning about form and horse racing.

my apprenticeship is over now."poor is the student who does not surpass his master" leonardo da vinciCool
will update thread every year with the new total net deposits (betfair) and account closures and the payout amounts that get me restricted.

Are you being serious?

Think it's actually about 10k a term or something, but still a more expensive education than the OP's 25k

1. Back high, lay low
2. Never back MHT on turf
3. There's never a bad time for an aftertime

apprenticeship never over in this game. despite the claim of many a massiah.
Once you think youve got this game by the bollax it has a nasty habit of coming and biting yer ass big time

The games got the OP by the bollax by the sound of things.

Mine is pretty toxic. +£4k in 14 years, hardly worth the effort. I'd estimate that it was -£10k about 10 years ago. The only saving grace being that it was student loans that I wasted. Now I have an extensive criminal record, it's unlikely that they will ever be repaid.

Dai got the game by the baws, the game of life that is.

It's Betfair commission which has the OP by the bollax.

If he's £10,036 down in 7 years and 4 months, that works out at just £3.76/day. There's a good chance he's paid more than that in commission. Which makes him a winning punter, a shrewdie.

Yet Betfair's commission turns him into a hefty loser. It's a wonder this place still survives with a business model like that.

Just worked out I've paid them around £65 a day, although that's more like the weekly figure nowadays.

Commission is so toxic, I've paid more than I've won. Rake is brutal on poker too.

I'm on 3.5%, which means I have to win 11 grand a year on here, just to break even.

It's heartbreaking, when you think what this place could have been without such a cynical, short-term outlook to the commission structure. The churn must be astronomical, as punters are simply cleaned out in a matter of weeks, even if they're winning.
