I wondered why he had her positioned off the rail before they turned into the straight, but suppose he might have been wary of getting trapped in a pocket, which might explain why he was looking round to see where the MJ horse was.
I don't think there was anything wrong with the ride and it looked like she hung into the rail around a furlong out, so Allan wasn't able to push her out properly; think she was hating the ground. |

Only had 2 horses in front of him, sure he cdve kept horse on rail behind leading two for a bit longer
without worrying about getting trapped. To me he was looking around as he knew he was in ideal posy and sh@t himself, probably why he comes wide rather than keeping covered up when no need to so early in race. Agree horse didn't seem to be loving the ground late on and may not have beaten winner anyway but I'd have like to have seen him try. The only jockey not to use his whip throughout race fwiw |

Agree about the rail, when that rail is good round there, even 2 wide is a disadvantage imo.

It was a sh1t dishonest ride , full stop , regardless of weather or not it was good enough to win >

I was betting it in running as thought the front two were perhaps hurting one another. Horse just never picked up on the ground imo.
