That was rancid. No doubt there will be people prepared to defend it.

By:
Rancid, completely rancid.

Err the horse has finished lame, and he was looking down checking it's legs from 3f out. I swear some people on here, bet and don't even watch races. I guess you want Spencer to knock spots off a horse that's not right do you ?
By:
He was yanking the horse's head off after a furlong.
By:
If it was wrong from 3 out why was he whipping it 1.5 out? You're just defending him because of your vomit inducing eulogy for him the other day.
By:
Spencers report 'horse hung right'. So does your wallet mate. Filth.
By:
Not "lame" then?
By:
lame or not the first 3f of the race told you all you wanted to know....
By:
Exactly. He had the horse beaten from the start.
By:
Spenser giving the horse the persuader inside the 2 furlong marker to make a feeble attempt at trying to win does not indicate to me the horse went wrong domino and looking at its action I suggest you watch the race again. That was not 'off' a yard.

we all know that horses are not machines and that all of us have bad days in the office, but it just grates that there are more of these horrible rides now than I can remember (at least since most racing televised and replays available online) and yet there is a stonewall of silence from BHA - it's like the argument for foreign referees in domestic soccer, we should be hiring people from HK to run BHA, they know how to handle this crap

By:
Why get involved on spencer shorties when u know what he is like
By:
There is absolutely not a shred of doubt in my mind that (some of) the stewards are clued up enough to be pulling jockeys in much more than they actually do. Would love to see what independent professional officials would make of some of the "rides" we see day in day out. It is not just the odd one. The questions are either not asked or the explanations are merely "noted".
By:
never got involved, learned my lesson on him, caitlin, mckeown, kelly, queally (oh how I hated he was stable jock for my fav trainer) and others a long time ago, but following the form of the letsbe avenue race because i think it's pretty solid, but these guys (who most annoyingly, are actually decent jockeys) can make even the best form worthless
By:
I bet less and less on the flat these days. NH racing always had the bad reputation vdown the years but the flat is far more corrupt.
By:
There's a fair bit of corruption under both codes imho. The lower the grade the worse it is. I genuinely believe it is worse than it is has ever been in my living memory at the moment.
By:
A lot of the same sort of races low grade and a short price no point stopping a double figure price apart from a handicap point of view
By:
There's plenty of big priced non triers as well, but you are essentially correct.
By:
As everyone knows about Spencer nobody backs him,so what's the problem.
Everyone must have layed him and won money. Simple. |
By:
Yes, because he never rides a winner. So we should all be laying his mounts blind, no matter whether they are capable of winning with a ride or not. What a ridiculous comnent.
By:
My point is , every time he rides people come on here telling us of his inadequacies AGAIN and AGAIN.
So what's new. Don't whinge , grasp the opportunity instead. |
By:
By:
If I thought the ride was caused by inadequacy I wouldn't have bothered to comment on it.
By:
Its gravy train punditry territory for anyone to defend that ride, let alone try to make excuses for it.
By:
So he really got it wrong at Kempton yesterday with winners at 7/1, 5/2 and 11/4 ?
By:
No, this thread was about one of his rides at Yarmouth this evening.
By:
It seems to be about him in general as usual.

Err the horse has finished lame, and he was looking down checking it's legs from 3f out. ---------- For goodness sake - domino14 ... "looking down" .... 'oldest one in the book' In fact - It is, usually, the most gormless giveaway that the jockey is 'at it'... But that is the average IQ level of most jockeys ----------- NO Vet Reported Lame - on BHA Stewards Reports - just ... Following the race Jamie Spencer reported that COURTSIDE (FR), placed fourth, hung right. ----------- OF COURSE - He did. ![]() ![]() |
