I would never try and second guess you stewarty, each thread you put up tends to surprise me when you reveal what you are backing, the race you have chosen today at Beverley looks like it could be a tactical nightmare unless the horse that has gone from Stoute to Johnston is sent from the front, they all appear to want to stalk or come from behind and given the weight difference and the fact the horse is in form the 3yo looks a far more likely winner than the other three to me, but at prohibitive odds wouldn't want to be involved, best of luck with TD

agree corky, even though only 4 runners it would take a brave man to bet with any confidence and as for elarqam, the same applies.

That surprises me Corky given that's what the forum should be all about....sharing views. Craig, I cannot answer questions if I'm not at home. Meanwhile I got all 13/2 Tommy Docc in my tickets and surprisingly evens in a couple of shops for Elarqam. Now Craig I know you like to know about my private life so on my way home I nipped into The Globe intending to have a quick pint but met in with an old buddy and had three of what I can only describe as the best pint in Aberdeen. They even put it in special pint glasses....San Miguel.....bubbles everywhere and so refreshing. I notice I bagged the 13/2 which is now 4s with one book which is always a help if it wins but only time will tell. I will get back to you re: Big D shortly because something is screaming for me from my fridge... |

Think you have misunderstood stewarty, it is indeed about sharing views and opinions, my point was that I would not be able to guess what horse you would put up, unlike some people where you know they always follow a stable or a jockey or the favourite or the rank outsider, you surprise with the variety of the selections that you post.
Hope you were on foot today and not behind the wheel...? |

Did you not go to the Tattoo yesterday Stewy.

He got a new one of Biggus.

Tattoo Dom?
Hope you were on foot today and not behind the wheel...? Foot Corky. I don't drink and drive and I have the added bonus of only a ten minute walk to hit the city centre which as you will know is awash with 'bookmaker' shops. That said, and I've said it many times, when the £2 spin limit comes in my trolling the shops will be severely curbed. |
|
By:
Will you become reacquainted with the library when they close the shops?
|
|
By:
You live in Edinburgh don't you Stewy ?
|
|
By:
Yes, he meant he'd had the best pint in Edinburgh but typed Aberdeen for some reason.
|
|
By:
Hopefully.

Aberdeen Dom.

Oh okay, thought you were from Edinburgh for some reason.
Strangely enough I have a photo appointment near Aberdeen in a couple of weeks ! Long bloody drive up the A9 beckons ! |

No at Fowlsheugh, doing some imaging for a Dolphin Conservation team and will be snapping Dolphins and Porpoises over 2 days up there for their advertising.

That link is spot on btw Delta. It's A Belhaven pub and likewise Ma Cameron's whom I happen to know the manager. I will try and bag a couple of freebies next time I visit there because these glasses keep bubbling until the last drop!

By:
Dom, just as a matter of interest did you ever ride at Edinburgh?
|
|
By:
How old do you think I am lol
I rode a few at Musselburgh but never any good. |
|
By:
I was a member there for two years. I never actually saw him ride there but Greville Starkey called it 'the wall of death'!

Elarqam in the 4:10 @ Salisbury. Has the best form imo
Yes, and form LTO in a higher grade. It'll be a turn up if Plumatic beats it. |

First time this has happened to me in seventeen years. Site cream crackered but at least I'm on....win or lose.

It has to give 22lbs to the FAV but has by far the superior form in my book stewy..how iyo has it got superior form than a horse rated 22lbs better? |
|
By:
steve, I think you may have got mixed up. the FAV is rated 22lbs inferior.
|
|
By:
Back on track now but a helluva drift here.

As it stands a profit if Elarqam wins or down a few quid.

my bad sb.

That was dire. Head scratching here..

By:
Shocking run from Elarqam. Some say the bigger the certainty the bigger the certainty that it'll get beat.

My doubts on both horses were vindicated stewy.

a fabre bringing over a horse from france, was enough to make that even money shot very risky, some of these
frankel horses are useless, cant string a couple of wins together. unlucky |

That generally sums it up Dr C. Forget about the winner , inferior horses finished in front of it. Sometimes you have to take it on the chin and then I think to myself.....can I back this beast again? |
