Best of luck, doesn't exactly scream back me on what it has achieved to date, quickly moved on from Qatar/Balding's for 4k after refusing to enter the stalls, withdrawn on a couple of occasions, now dropped to 7f after showing promise in its first two races running on at the finish both times over a mile, would like they are trying to get a favourable handicap mark if it weren't for the support in the market, most intriguing...!

Cheap purchase out of a big yard, who has had injury problems in the past and has looked one paced in it's races over 8f. Refused to enter stalls when up to 10f last time.
Quickly sold out of big yard for cheap money and running in a 7f novice when previously running to around 70 in two races when outpaced over 8f. Out of a staying Rainbow Quest mare whose progeny have all been effective over 12f+, and by a stallion who was a miler. This horse is in no way bred for 7f, and is sure to be outpaced over this trip. Yes Dunn can land a touch, but more likely in handicaps than in a novice, where even the Channon horse has a Official Rating higher than this horse has previously achieved and the Hannon horse ran to 75 last time and the Burrows horse ran to 73 on debut. So has to improve past three horses, who has shown better form, all whilst on it's 3rd start when dropping in trip on first start for a new yard. I would be very very surprised if this had the pace to get involved and would be even more surprised if any of the money for this horse was connections. Owners / Trainers don't bet at 8am, you get peanuts on and the prices go too quickly. I would imagine this is a tipping line horse, or some people trying to get a price to lay it in the place market later so putting out a moody gamble. Backing horses on 3rd start, dropping in trip when bred for at least 4f further, would not be a successful betting pattern in my book. Good luck, but in terms of betting horses which are probably 99.99% out for a mark over an inadequate trip, this would tick all the boxes. I would seriously doubt Alex Dunn would want this anywhere near the front today, and ruin a chance of a decent mark and I would be even more surprised if someone who is a shrewd trainer who likes to land touches would be advising people to back a horse that is bred for 12f+ in a 7f novice against 3 horses with better form already and open to improvement and also given that it's last experience of a racetrack in race conditions was boiling over at the start and not going in the stalls. I would say anyone who has backed this, has backed an obvious non jigger and I predict the horse, will drift like a piece of litter in the sea in the closing minutes to the off and go off plus 20 in the win and plus 7 in the place, with some happy people place laying it at around 3.5 - 4.5 for a good few quid before the drift. |

Stone cold last and off the bridle after 2f, hope you didn't lose too much Hardestgame.
Thanks though for bringing my attention to a decent little lay. Barg placed again and hung like a gate with Ryan Moore up, and the poor lassie who rode him last time got slaughtered. |
