Had a good look at this race and my first thoughts were the FAV wins by default. I know trickie dickie gets the 7lbs but even still..

Backed so if it's beat I'm still up for the day in what is a dire race, but even something wins these races and it has to be the FAV in my book. g/l all.

You obviously move markets, though personally I do not understand why you would want to get involved in this type of race, you correctly state it looks dire, if you are already in front on the day, why you would not just take what you have and look for the next decent bet puzzles me, where is your discipline...? gl though

This is not aimed at you personally SL, just an observation from reading many threads on here, how much of a negative it is for peoples discipline on here because they are unable to resist the temptation of having a play because sat at their computer or on their phone everything is all to easily accessible to them, a survey of how many interest bets players on here have that they did not select prior to racing starting would be most interesting.

106 BSP the winner. No shock but would be really gutted if I'd backed the second. I can only imagine the frustration of the backers.

cork, it's all about stopping when you hit that losing streak.

Not sure that is a viable policy long term SL, but each to their own, plus it wouldn't be good for the exchange if we all played to the same parameters.

Corky, since you are going about, what is the scenario if my Limerick bet ends up a draw? I presume extra time?
By:

When: 15 Aug 18 20:56
Yes stewarty, extra time then a replay if scores are still tied at the end

well Corky, I don't back favourites as a rule, and I bet in very small stakes. I hope this helps

Really? If the second scenario happens how long until the replay? And going by the records I can't see much draws in the list but correct me if I'm wrong.

Surprisingly there have been 3 draws in the last eight years, before that the last draw was 1959, so odds are stacked against another happening this year, any replay would most likely take place a fortnight later though that would be dependent on what else is taking place that day.

SL, wasn't having a dig, your bets are your own business, just trying to understand the philosophy behind your approach.

A fortnight?? Dear God that's a helluva long time. Mind you Corky you know far more about the game than me but believe it or not I'm quietly confident.

Philosophy? Don't have one. I'm a guesser. As long as I can control losing runs I'm happy.
