Huge statement ! This is an unraced filly that could end up useless ! Already being labelled potentially the best to have run in Scotland before it's seen a blade of grass !

Not trying to be devils advocate but Postponed was most definitely not a filly, I would have even said Shamardal would be a better horse than him to have run in Scotland.

If the narrow second is a solid 75 horse, that's ran to about 60 tops on debut! Travelled okay, didn't look green, but looked very one paced under pressure and he was niggling from 500 metres out. Be a long time getting that £780,000 back.

Normally the commentators delight in telling us the last horse away from the stalls. Yet in that race a long odds on shot is said to be "settled at the rear of the field".

It had every chance, wasn't sharp away but travelled easily and moved within 1L of the pace 2f out, when starting to come under pressure, didn't pick up. Yes will improve and has a fast ground pedigree and the family have improved with age, but for a horse that cost the best part of £800K, it's going to need to improve a hell of a lot to get a fraction of that back.

Biscar , Not sure it was Ayr, but I bet a horse at 5/2 the night before (Got like a 45p r4 later) called Fairy Falcon earlier in the year, was smashed into 4/5 fav, before the Fahey runner in the race was a non runner, it then shortened to 2/7, before being well punted on course into 1/6. It was only 3rd but looked like it hated the ground. It has subsequently come out and bolted up on different ground. That horse is also a 3yo, but not sure if that's the one you're thinking of.

i'm a firm believer in stable form - most of the broadcast pundits can't have it incidentally - and Burke was 0-25 before this and is now 0-28
