They've opened a 3 places market on this race (like they used to do with all 7 runner races) but it seems to be a one-off gesture as the 7 runner handicaps at Yarmouth and Beverly don't have those markets

A bit daft to call it an each way bet to nothing. Its 7 runners for a start so two places. It's evens and 11/10 with the 2 firms betting without the favourite so they hardly think it's a guaranteed bet to beat the rest. I think 4/1 is overpriced and it has got a good chance but it's certainly not an each way bet to nothing.

That looked an improved effort from Torcedor last time. Quite possible with another furlong he would have got back up.
Consequently, I think the drop back in trip is more of a benefit to the favourite and he is also proven on the track. I can see Torcedor being ridden to beat the favourite and something else picking up the pieces.
Asparagus, if anything is daft it is your analysis of the prices. If Torcedor was 1/6 without the favourite he isn't going to be an each-way bet to nothing in the inclusive market. I did add a question mark but even if you don't many will view Torcedor as a bet to nothing.

I will be gobsmacked if the fav gets beaten,it was god to soft in the Leger where he ran a cracker plus he won the race last year....As close to a Cert as you will get imo.

You could just back Torcedor in the 3 place market at around 1.4 40% interest on your money in about three and a half minutes? You dont get that in a bank!

Different Drum , you just don't seem to have grasped what a 'bet to nothing' is. The phrase is suggesting very little risk on the place part of an each way bet. Clearly there is. I can assure you my analysis of the prices is spot on.

I'm just happy with about 35% profit on my 3 places market bet on Torcedor. A lot of people overthink things and make the whole gambling process a lot more difficult for themselves than it needs to be.
