So many bad rides (or dodgy) rides today

It is and has been a daily occurrence ever since racing began, it is just more visible to us all now as we can watch every race

A weekly saying I know but roll on the jumps

Either a lot of you do not remember pre-tv racing channel days or rarely ever went to meetings, as skullduggery for want of a better word has been rife since the first races were ever run, nothing will ever be done about it because in most cases it is open to interpretation and if you are above a certain rung on the ladder of success you are not going to be pursued with any enthusiasm for fear of failure.

Got to say the standard of todays jockeys is woeful.

^And the horses aren't much better.

add another four to the list - the jockeyship in the S8.15 was absolutely woeful apart from the winner who took the p**s!!! honestly if there was a race which showed in all it's brutal raw light the lack of riding intelligence amongst the current jockeys who despite oodles of videos, jockey training, jockey mentors etc can't actually ride a race according to the horse they're riding, this is the one...

Worse than all is the apparent lack of cognisance or concern from Stewards and the BHA.
It is not Punters griping, it's people who love the sport and are embarrassed that only they seem to notice or care.
The ride by Hamilton today was woeful in it's shamefulness in pretending it was a genuine attempt to get the best result for the horse.
When you couldn't see it you were ignorant and now you can and it's seemingly ignored.
Please do something to show you notice or care.

workrider - i've been round the game long enough to take the rough with the smooth - I thought Callum Rodriquez rode his two winners beautifully as York pretty tough course but Tony Hamilton (yes that one!) cost me the placepot with a horrendous ride (and then as decreed by forum folklore, got the last two winners up!) and had Jamie Gormley for a few lines on Theglasgowwarrior which would have won by 2l if he'd gone absolutely anywhere on the racecourse than where he actually did (and this after a not particularly ride on the same horse lto), now all that I can take but when 4 jockeys (all of them experienced but I hesitate to use the word professional!) display a level of incompetence and lack of intelligence in the SAME race, you have to think somethings not right - watch it back if you can...as far as I can tell no stewards, in HK or Australia the 4 of them would be off for a month

We all notice the rides on horses we backed but I thought that Oisin Murphy had a shocker on Chessman, my e/w bet in the International at Ascot. Needless to say he came from last to finish fifth! Close up in the RP said "finished best of all but too late" One to back next time.

Oisin Murphy’s ride cannot possibly be compared with Tony Hamilton’s, one was riding an outsider in a charge of the light brigade lottery , while the other was riding a short priced favourite in a small field 2yo novice . Hamilton looked at the declarations on Thursday morning and thought to himself “ that looks a good opportunity “.

I think that the Stewards could play a huge part in this if willing, take note of what is the usual running of the group of horses involved and pass their finding on to the handicapper who could up said horses a few pounds for said ride. That my friends would put a stop to their gallop once and for all..Everyone knows what's happening! if the same jockeys and trainers get pulled it'll be self evident after awhile...

I'd be careful with that approach.
Never put into the race doesn't mean that it could this time or next racing in the same class.
