Used to be quite a prestigious race back in the day. Never even noticed it until you mentioned it.
use to be first on card with diamonds and a cert in it! Lydia Pearce for Gosden 
I used to clean up on Franca Vittadini back in the Day.
Used to be a mile conditions race if I remember and a great opener to King George Day. I always remember looking out for the Michael Stoute/Maxine Juster combination.
