It has become a bloody frustrating bet and I have reduced the amount I do by about 80% though no doubt Goodwood and Galway will draw me back in Cry

there's nothing fun about having a bet and then somebody taking nearly 30% off you before it even starts

I have had numerous pps up that paid anything from 2 to 20 thousand through doing perms for tiny amounts sometimes perming up to 2500 unitsBlush  and over a year I usually made a small profit however the last 5 years or so I have found it impossible to make a profit on them either due to bad selections by me or people doing them just being more clued upSad so I generally look to the bigger meetings and reduce my stakes and units.

regarding placepot dividends the 27% deduction is a factor but that is the devil we know.. the much bigger devil is when all the unnamed favs  make the frame and as we all know results in a much reduced dividend .you pays your money you take a chance i suppose its all good fun

Ex-husband usually means divorced - apologies if it was something more serious.

Thanks portman - there was enough rain in South London late afternoon to make me think it might make a difference but it sounds like Ascot missed it ...
