just about to say the same thing BB. Layboy like many on here you are looking at jockeys too much and horses too little.

I would lay it over 6f for all the tea in china. If I was training it, I would ride it exactly how it's been ridden today over the extended mile at Wolves, where they go flat out and stop up the straight. Would suit this horse down to the ground, and his pedigree screams Tapeta.

OK, I will rephrase. The horse in the most ungenuine one percent of horses racing regularly on the Flat.

It's exactly the sort of horse I would expect to see purchased by someone like Johnny Butler, run over 6f and 12f blasting from the front and stopping dead a few times, before it drops to 55, and then goes for a 8.6f 0-55 at Wolverhampton on a January evening, and be punted off the boards and win with it's head in it's chest.

I said on tother fred about the race today I was surprised it hasn't been out around the mile trip again dom after being beaten by the well handicapped fahey horse at Beverley.
Not got the speed in any sort of 6f race these days (that Leafy contest was a shocker and subsequent form from it has backed that up). Defo has it's own ideas but perhaps around a mile in a lowly contested race has enough speed and stamina to get it back over the line in front. |
