Eighteen years since it arrived ,what has it done in those intervening years to improve its coverage . Very little in my view , the pictures ,of
average quality ,beamed to their customers seven or eight seconds behind real time,way behind their competition. No wonder racecourses are
leaving in their droves (with the exception of Ascot). And no sign of any improvements in the foreseeable future. Continuing to coast as they have
done for years ,is not the way forward.

I presume this is a joke but anyway.
The umpteenth time the only people interested in slow pictures are the in-running moaners on here who make up a small proportion of the people interested in horse racing. Try picking a few winners before the races.
ATR have done a massive amount to put Irish racing on the map. Unfortunately, their reward was to lose the contract. Arguably, the Irish presentation has been better and more professional than anything else on either channel.
Above anything else ATR was the channel to instigate features around the live content. Without that lazy RUK would never have added any additional content. ATR still offers the only regular news updates.
Ascot is quite a big capture in anyone's book and it might be the first of many once the honeymoon period is over for RUK.
They are clearly not coasting as they had an on-course presence in France the other day. I suspect the shape of things to come until some more contracts are up for grabs.
There are some shocking presenters/pundits on both channels. The difference being the ones on RUK are annoying and smug. How long will that last?

i stopped reading on your second line which is embarrassing
differentdrum, nobody was calling for 20-20 cricket before it was introduced, now it packs stadiums with a new younger audience and cricket is thriving on the back of it, its atr's place to serve everyone and not exclude which it currently does
The regular news updates are tedious and only contribute to Racing Replays which are cut to shreds!

In those days there was no betting in running ,and it constitutes less 2% of my betting .It irks me that people try to make money out of fallers ,
unseated riders,injuries ,and indeed deaths of horses.That's probably just me ,I like fair play .
