I thought this horse was retired by its owners , Wicklow Bloodstock? County Hurdle winner, second in the Champion Hurdle behind Faugheen won the Hatton Grace and rated as high as 169. Surprising to see him running at Cork tonight in an ordinary race after a long absence (441 days). Now with Dennis Cullen, hardly the most prolific of trainers, if fit though.........
Last seen close up behind Wicklow Brave and My Tent Or Yours in the Punschestown Champion Hurdle, had quite a lot of injuries over the years though and the owners always said that they had never seen the best of him because of this. Would be 2/5 if fully fit, fitness being the unkown.

I agree that we never saw him at his best. Even some of his better runs he didn't look completely race fit.
Maybe Mullins is partially at fault too as he had other stable stars and this horse always seemed liked a bit of an afterthought.

Has a very decent record first time out and unless DC has misjudged him should be plenty good enough, DO'R style of ride should suit, fingers crossed he comes back safe and sound and wins for his patient connections, not that he owes them anything financially of course.
