Perfect example of why it a load of bolix when jockeys say they try as hard in every race. If that was a run of the mill race he would've put the whip down, straightened his horse, and lost.

Exactly. And his prize money will dwarf what he'll lose re ban.
Last time I was at the Eclipse Al Kazeem won a rough race but I don't remember an inquiry as it won comfortably and it was the third who lost out but Doyle certainly got a ban for careless riding.
