Horse owes me nothing but I wouldn't back it ever again. Only my opinion but seems to be a bit of a goat. ie. reluctant to go by horses close by whereas it had no company in the Guineas.[/i]
I still believe this beast is a goat. That said I think Hawkbill is a huge price. I said I wouldn't back it again but to me it's still the class beast in the field imo. 9/4 could be decent with Hawkbill as a saver. g/l if getting involved.
Hawkbill is now 10s with some books so I've missed the boat there. Gutted at that but will now be backing Hawkbill will some books at 12's which is a better price than on here as I type along with a reverse C.S.F. with them both. Must fly. Once again, g/l if getting involved.
I also posted this on the same thread...I still believe this beast is a goat. That said I think Hawkbill is a huge price. I said I wouldn't back it again but to me it's still the class beast in the field imo. 9/4 could be decent with Hawkbill as a sa
Hawkbill's form against Poet's Word looks very good to me imo. That aside I got a call from big D asking how much I was putting on SW. I told him nothing but that the 2 furlongs less may suit and I've plumped for Hawbill. As far as I can make out he is backing SW and covering his stake + with a win on SW.

these Deep Impacts might be better at 10f in Europe. complete failures at 12f but some decent efforts at 10f like Study of Man in the French Derby. so there's some upside today.
haven't backed him though. quite happy with the Lion.

some proper duff jockeys in this race. James Doyle head and shoulders above this lot.
A top jockey no doubt but some would argue with that plus he doesn't have a mount here.

starting to fightback, every bump from him stopped me, I'm coming back all the time, might horse was in front, he's knocked my horse sideways, he's come 10 yards across me - Donnacha

Had I been on Roaring Lion there would have been no sweat with the double result and had I been on the second, and it got it in the stewards room, same scenario. Now to pick out a winner for chavers the bow..

Just watching the replay of the Eclipse plus interviews. Noticed that Raymond Tusk got past Forest Ranger to win 10k for the owners but if he is only a 100 handicapper which I suspect he is, he may well go up for finishing sixth!
