We popped back to our hotel about 6pm on Thursday to get showered and changed for dinner. There were 3 ambulances outside and police.

It transpires a stag party, 20 strong, had checked in during the day, all from in and around London and Essex apart from the groom's long standing friend from Newcastle.

This lad was apparently enjoying himself in the pool with a few others and two or three times went underwater, holding his breath for over a minute.

He was under water again when one of the lads checked him and he was pulled out. He'd turned blue and was not breathing.

By the time we turned up he was outside on a stretcher and receiving oxygen. I guess the lad would be early 30's and has two young children.

When we got back to the hotel about 11pm i spoke to the groom and it is suspected that he had hit his head in the pool and broken his neck. The worst possible scenarios are not even worth thinking about and the only update he had was that he "was stabilised"..

We can only pray that he makes a full and speedy recovery but things did not look good as of yesterday morning when we flew back.
Hopefully somebody from your neck of the woods can post a positive update of his well being if you have one please.

Thanks in advance. Zodie.

I seen his first post. Thing is it could be anyone or no one, there's as much chance of him substantiating this tale as there is of his P&L.

Latest update on this young man, Keith Dungait from Morpeth, is not at all good.

He is currently paralysed from the waist down. 41 years old with 2 young children, 5 and 7 ..
This tragic accident happened just 2 hours into his holiday on Thursday.

His friends have set up a Justgiving page to raise £100,000 towards his medical bills etc.
and they are halfway there.

Any donations would be greatly received.

how much has monkey man donated please?
Report Zodiac July 12, 2018 9:16 AM BST
Why do you want to know ? its immaterial ..

To the family, it's just important that they raise the funds to look after him.

Kids are donating their pocket money, that's good enough for me.
Report Willie Shafter. July 12, 2018 9:48 AM BST
send them a msg and tell them you've donated more than than you really have.

DUMBO, it doesn't work like that ..

It's not like pledging the Injured Jockeys Fund £5,000 then not paying Sad

they have, and received, exactly what i have sent from my bank account.
