Interesting as in Georgia off, Liam is at meeting but J Egan [after Brighton in afternoon] on, when Willie could use stables jocks as Dads horse

Shows absolutely zero at home. Irish boys probably just pushing it in, to get a price about the Murtagh good thing. It could have Super Mario on it's back and Smashed wouldn't win. Delighted it's into 3/1, hope it continues to come in, best lay of the day, it's slower than a wet weekend in Bognor.

It also leads the 2yo's at home as it's bombproof and William uses it as a hack.

Those are the reasons it's still in the yard.

y not let Liam ride it dom?
Report domino14 July 3, 2018 10:16 AM BST
Liam was jocked up to ride 2 at Brighton today on Sunday am. But neither were declared. William had already declared with Egan on, before Liams agent knew Liam suddenly had no rides at Brighton. He got him a spare at Chepstow, but William is a good bloke, and if he had already booked John he's not the sort of guy to go and unbook him.

It's amazing how many agents don't confirm with trainers horses are actually being declared. I was lucky I had a good agent.

Liam could have done the double headed like J Egan is doing - its in the last ..

It's also in the Newmarket sale next week, which seems a bit odd if it's so useful around the yard.

Obvuiously a sentimental purchase at - Seemed a starange purchase at 32,000 for it's pedigree...

32,000gns Y; 7th foal; dam 7f 2yo selling winner; RPR 60/placed 2m-2m4f hurdles, half-sister to Australian 1m2f Gr 1 winner Beaten Up, 1m4f Gr 3 winner Harris Tweed and 1m4f AW Listed winner Vow out of 1m2f-1m4f winner

Obviously a sentimental purchase, though, as ...

Harris Tweed  being both bred and owned by William's father - as was Harris Tweed's Dam SEL

Harris Tweed- pedigree ...

- half-brother to Sel, dual 7f winner at 2, Froglet, triple 2m-2m1f at 3.

SEL, of course, being the DAM of SMASHED.

HARRIS TWEED also Won the first-time that Cheekpieces were applied -

Hence tonight's attempt at that 'coincidence'.

in Sundays RP - Liam Jones was penciled in on nowt at Brighton and jocked up on the Haggas 8.15 one at Chepstow

Racingpost not a good source for jockey bookings, Sundays post would have been done based on Thursday / Friday transcript on Racing Admin.

The only site to ever take notice of is Racing Admin. Sunday morning he was booked on two horses at Brighton, but neither were declared.

In regards to the sales, there will be loads of withdrawals before the day, always is. I suspect they will sell Smashed though. he's been used for the last 2 years as a 2yo lead horse, he isn't very good at all.

Not really it was a stinking race and it was hard off the bridle 5f out, fav was probably as high as it can get in handicap, but horses like Smashed who are very one paced, will always be a layers friend, when you're slow and just plod, no matter what race you're in, you're always vulnerable to anything with a modicum of ability. I would happily lay him again next time, he's slow and slow horses struggle to win races.

im amazed you even try and evaluate the gaffe races..
