Im just gonna have to bite the bullet sparrow and see how I get with the 2 places, sad state of affirs but otherwise Ill only have about 3 bets today :/

A meeting I would normally look forward to JLS but betfair have ruined it for many of us with this stupid decision.

We argue between each other on the other thread but maybe liquidity wouldnt have been such an issue if these worms werent hiding the exchange and directing everyone to their stupid bookie site.

I have made that point many times myself JLS but that's where the profit is for these bookmakers.

And they say they want more prize money - most days the last few weeks there were about 5 meetings a day - an industry in decline they say !

I understand having more meetings (and 'better' meetings) on the weekends but then tomorrow just the 1 meetings at Windsor (as a flat only player), would it have killed them to maybe switch Chester and maybe York / Lingfield to tomorrow? Im happy enough to have Sunday off now with this weather but theres not enough time for form study today, its a nightmare, especcially wanting to watch the WC too

3pm Windsor 7 runners pre race markets 2 places 7,000       3 places 31,000    4 places 11,000.

Another third in the 'place' market, thats me done with it, enjoy losing out on around 10K a week of bets BF, mugs.

Have you spoken to them about this JLS?

Same generic response, little to no understanding of what I was talking about, then when the penny finally dropped I got the liquidity jargon (ofc no response to my question about keeping the 2TBP, or when I mentioned the likes of AvB averaging around 600 quid a race). Cant find an e-mail address for them to get hopefully a more informed response, just the live chat script-readers.

Whilst I cant really speak for pre-race, I can say there is no difference in-running between the 3TBP and the standard place market, which is extremely frustrating, at least Purple has the 3TBP still but ofc liquidity is an issue, shame everyone cant just make the move after year of bf bending us over :/

Only current solution for me is to double (at least given the amount of < 8 runner fields) my stake on 8 runner or more races but im pained to hand over more commission to these guys.

Is purple doing 3 TBP in running? Can't be much liquidity in that, with no bf markets to track.

Pretty sure they are but no point given the liquidity.

I wonder if anyone at betfair is monitoring this issue?  If so they must have noticed the discrepancies by now.

The conspiracy theorists inside me thinks it been the betfair bots I / We've been smashing over the years.

You really notice the difference when it's 7 runners after a withdrawal as in that 3.0 Windsor which I posted earlier.

If they take out Brockholes after running today that'll be the whole Pontefract card out the window on Monday

Just have to hope alot of these small fields are down to the summer fast going and ridiculous amount of meetings, cant remember being this annoyed when they originally culled it at the start of the month.

I feel your frustration JLS, It seems every other race now is 5,6,7 runners and only the 2 to place option now. I am prob matching about 10/20% of what I usually would. Inrunning for the normal place is the absolute pits.

Ive been usuing purple of the 3 to place, the liquidity is pretty poor but there is some there, but its amazing that the folk who've been cheesed off by BF dont just go over there and stick it up them.

Anyhow theres defo another reason for culling the market that provides liquidity - as for theres no explaination why you'd leave the 2 to place in over 8 runners, each way, A v B, distance betting.

Yesterday at Windsor was horrendous following on from Lingfield Saturday. I would estimate that betfair lost a lot of commission over the weekend. It really is incredible when you look at those useless EW and "How Far" markets.
