I can't see past Saxon warrior in which it wont find the trouble it did it Epsom. A class above imo and I'm off to get some of the 10/11 that's going about. (4/7 yesterday) g/l all.

You have really gone left field with that selection.

Stumbled leaving stalls, (loses a length)  in touch in midfield, 6th straight, closed to track leaders when not clear run and hampered 3f out, (at least another length or more) effort over 2f out, no impression in 5th and hung left over 1f out, kept on to go 4th inside final furlong, no threat to leaders (op 8/11)

I'll be shocked if it doesn't reverse the form with Dee Ex Bee. But hey ho, it's all about opinions.

I've gone with Delano Roosevelt twice on my thread this season, in the Derby when he didn't look the same horse that had shaped so well in the Derrinstown, and last time at Ascot when perhaps the race didn't go his way.

I see Pricewise has gone for him today, but imo hard to select him when, as in the Derby, connections only want one horse of theirs home in front, and that is Saxon Warrior.

By the way, it'll be interesting to see how the Ballydoyle mob deal with SDS and DXB, cuz I'm sure they haven't forgotten about what happened halfway down the straight at Epsom!

Think it's fair to say that SDS shouldn't be expecting any favours, acey. Think that was one of the 'highlights' of the season when he made the manoeuvre to block the fav off at the pass Mischief

Of course SDS may just get the horse out in front but the danger in that will be having a 'Golden Freeze' done on him.

Will be interesting to see what tactics Frankie employs, horse ran with the choke out at Epsom, very surprised JB & Fozzy are running their horses, could be a rough old race for some, O'Brien's aside, Bandua looks the most interesting to me, achieved next to nothing in its two victories to date on vastly different ground, did carry a fair weight in each race and must have shown DW something that has convinced him to run here rather than look for a more realistic Group opportunity elsewhere, at 50/1 worth a little investment for me for an interest in the race
Report domino14 June 30, 2018 1:21 PM BST
One horse race, will sit in 5th or 6th, cruise through to lead around 2f out and skip clear in the final furlong.

Rostropovich will make Dee Ex Bee's life very difficult.
Report domino14 June 30, 2018 1:32 PM BST
Dee Ex Bee would have no chance dropped in, just gallops and SW has a potent turn of foot.

Dee Ex Bee will go forward, Rostropovich will make sure it's no soft lead and press him from the offset.

SW will drop in mid div and just pick them off.
Report stewarty b June 30, 2018 3:35 PM BST
You are very bullish dom and so am I. That said, if there is one man who has hammered me many times financially it's Moore. That said, if he has the petrol in the tank here I'm hoping it obliges. Any f**k up by him and I will have to give up on him.

If this beast is good enough and had Piggott on it's back I truly believe it would be a 1/2 shot.
Report stewarty b June 30, 2018 4:51 PM BST

Report stewarty b June 30, 2018 5:03 PM BST
fozzybear, I know that question is not directed at me but for what it's worth it's very rarely that a horse without a few 111s next to it's form win classics. Time will tell and kick off is up and coming.
Report Angela Rebecchi June 30, 2018 5:04 PM BST
What horse are you referring to?
Report domino14 June 30, 2018 5:05 PM BST
I doubt Dee Ex Bee would have the turn of foot to be dropped in, he may well be considered adaptable by his connections but in the Blue Ribband he was dropped in and got done for speed as the race quickened and stayed on too late. In the Derby they rode him a lot more positively and it suited him and he ran a big race. If they were to go back to drop him in, I personally feel he would struggle to match the turn of foot of Saxon Warrior, Dee Ex Bee's best chance is to make it a stamina test, like he done at Epsom. In his two previous races ridden to quicken he lost his chance getting outpaced and stayed on too late. So I would disagree with Mark Johnston's son, at this level, his chance is decreased massively by being dropped in, as he showed in both trial races before the Derby when dropped in and beaten for a turn of foot.

Report domino14 June 30, 2018 5:11 PM BST
I like The Pentagon as a horse, but his best work at home has always been over 7 and 8f at home and over 12f he's looked a complete non stayer and only just got home over 10f. The 12f at the Curragh is very stiff. I would personally be surprised if he stayed, but reckon he could be a completely different proposition if they dropped him back in trip. I would expect him to be ridden forward myself, to ensure good middle pace in the race.

Fozzybear

I agree somewhat with you, but Dee Ex Bee committed for home 3f out, at which time Ryan still bided his time on Saxon and then got into some trouble. Saxon wasn't himself at Epsom, however you view Epsom, I wouldn't judge Saxon Warrior on that run, it wasn't him and he'll be a whole different horse today. Dee Ex Bee made his move a good furlong before SW at Epsom, I would expect Knight To Behold to lead up, with Rostropovich and Dee Ex Bee tracking today myself.
Report domino14 June 30, 2018 5:15 PM BST
I'm probably alone, but I see Old Persian a bigger danger than Dee Ex Bee, I think Delano will run on for a place, but I'll be very surprised if Saxon didn't win this by 3L minimum.

I would be tempted to lay Dee Ex Bee to place as well.
