Colours are decided by owner or yard. You have until 12 noon on day of decs to inform which set of colours for what horse. If you don't notify Weatherbys by noon, they will publish as they see fit. This is what will go in racecards and papers. However the trainer / owner does have until 1pm the next day to notify Weatherby's your own choice of colours worn, this will show to the clerk of the scales and will be announced on track, but too late for publications to change.
