a few bumpers I have no problem with but what is the point of them when they have had bumpers at each of the last few meetings (a meeting last week and the week before) end up with a 6 runner race ffs

On that basis you could ask what’s the point in novice chases

Thought it was so that they can change the course From Chases to Hurdles - both being Portable.

Every meeting starts with Chases and then changes to Hurdles.

Presumably they do not consider the 20 minutes after the last Chase is run as sufficient time to BOTH REMOVE the Fences AND put the Hurdles in placed - But -

There is time to just Remove the Fences... Run a Bumper ... then put the Hurles in place.

Talking of Southwell, would rather watch 3 laps on the fibre that the dross at Worcester
