Hi everyone I’m looking to doing both courses on Friday what is the latest I would have to leave Yarmouth to get to Newmarket to watch the 6.10,I’ve done it in about 1hr qtr before but never on a Friday,Yarmouth’s last race is 5.10 will have to miss this but if I watch the 4.40 do you reckon I will make it?
Thanks in advance

Loads of Road works at present, and Friday afternoon is a nightmare, I would allow 90 minutes to be on the safe side.

the first bit of the A47 is only 2 lanes up to Acle but after that it dual carriageway, A11 is good for miles as well, few roundabouts that slow you down a bit ( about 3 0r 4) but you'll be ok to the A14. Your slowest bit will be going through Newmarket I would have thought.Pretty sure theres no static speed cameras but look out for the police mobile ones on the A11, especially this time of year, think they like to make holidaymakers feel welcome!

If you stay for the 4.40 at Yarmouth, you're a million to see the 6.10 at Newmarket, unless you've got a f*cking helicopter!

Think Norfolk is right, if you say 10minutes to get to your car after the race has run , then 10 mins to get into the course at Newmarket you've only actually got 70 minutes journey time, which would be pushing it.

Well done Norfolk, if only you were so accurate in putting up winners Wink

No chance of making the 6.10 unless you absolutely cane it, traffic will be heavy, you'll hit the Southern bypass and Thickthorn at exactly the wrong time.

No chance as stated below. Miss the 4.40 and if you know the roads go round the back via Swaffham Bulbeck and go into the car park before the prancing horse roundabout.
