Happy to make do with the 12-1 SP for Soldier's Call on the front page of the RP when it was 33-1 in the odds box next to his column yesterday morning!

They can't quote a price that isn't available to anyone
Report GEORGE.B June 24, 2018 11:08 AM BST
Which is fair enough, BW, but would you then want to be shouting about a 12-1 strike on the front page of the paper while Hugh Taylor celebrating the same selection but at 33-1!?
Report GEORGE.B June 24, 2018 11:13 AM BST
My point being: it's hardly 'pricewise' if you're happy to claim a 12-1 winner that had been priced up at 33-1!
Report CharlieCroker69 June 24, 2018 12:09 PM BST
why do they continue with the column when the prices are no longer available?
Report DenzilPenberthy June 24, 2018 12:22 PM BST
The bookmakers prices have long been fiction for most why have any at all when they don't want trade from non racing folk.
Report BlazingWalker June 24, 2018 1:22 PM BST
The real issue here is bookies being allowed to advertise prices in the press that are not available when the paper goes on sale. The racing post paper should be fined along with those so called bookmakers for completely mis leading advertising. Imagine Asda advertising a beer offer in saturdays press that nobody could buy on the day of publication , they would get hammered .

The Racing Post are completly in cahoots with these sham and are equally to blame. Well done to Betfred for standing firm with guarantees in their shops.
Report DenzilPenberthy June 24, 2018 1:28 PM BST
They should have disclaimers saying 'May not be available to non racing customers' or 'Stake size may be reduced and sp only to non racing customers'.
Report DenzilPenberthy June 24, 2018 1:32 PM BST
Or 'Racing personnel including media, tipsters and winning fantasists only'.

Spot on Blazing. It is blatant false advertising and in any other industry it would lead to regulatory action and fines.
