There have numerous unlucky/horrific rides on horses with very obvious chances in the last few weeks. People will dismiss anyone commenting on them as pocket talking (regardless whether they have actually backed the horses concerned or not) or say there are merely coincidental.
For what it is worth I didn't have a penny on that horse tonight. I'd be livid if I had.
