Finished up on the week but nothing to write home about and mainly thanks to Merchant Navy ante post, but no thanks to Order Of St George who I bet win and place heavily.

As it took me 23 races to get anywhere I count that as a massive escape. The last two races on Friday were heaven, the rest of the week far closer to hell.
Optimistic of turning a profit on the last day but not to be - Junius Brutus, Gilgamesh and Dreamfield all one place off a return and Bound To Nowhere went close at a biggish price. Bacchus was the biggest bummer as he would have been third choice in the Wokingham and having backed him several times last season I nearly took 50/1. Crowley was the clincher not to bother. A winning week and I would almost certainly have thrown a few quid at it.

Probably the trickiest RA meeting I can readily remember however I broke even mainly due to Main Edition and Old Persian in successive races. Would have made a profit if anyone else had ridden Tin Man.
