His assured low key presentation would be much more appropriate at Ascot compared to control freak Chamberlain who plainly thinks the programme is all about him now that Chapman has been relegated to the occasional clown contribution.
I lost all respect for Nick Luck when I saw he was taking Rich Ricci's money when aligning himself with NoBetBright, who have to be one of the worst bookies out there and there's plenty of competition on that score too.
You sign up with them and they give you a bonus that has to be rolled over numerous times before your winning are actually yours, yet as soon as you win a few quid they restrict you to shirt buttons and tap washers with states like 14p and so on, in a deliberate attempt to prevent you from completing the time limited roll over, so they can then effectively steal your winning from you.
You then end up basically forced into doing hundreds of bets that you don't want to do on other sports because they dictate what you can and can't bet on, staking pennies and pence just to meet the roll over requirements and then they have the cheek to display responsible gambling logos on the website.
I asked him on Twitter how he felt regarding allowing himself to be used to promote them but unsurprisingly he didn't seem overly concerned about the way they treat their customers.

I'm not suggesting Nick Luck is 'high profile' but many sports stars and celebrities would fit the description above. AP and Ruby being stand-outs, but add in Ray Winstone, Michael Owen, Frankie Dettori, Ricky Hatton, Glenn Hoddle, Alan Shearer, Ally McCoist and Chris Kamara to name a few.

I wasn't aware that Luck had sold himself to Betbright and it's disappointing to read.
My main gripe however is with Chamberlain who in recent weeks has begun to act and talk as if the programme is ALL about him and he is entitled to belittle the others whenever he feels like it. The dreadful Chapman did at least have the balls to stand up to him in the early days ,but the relationship moved quickly to one of mutual back slapping. Now Chapman has been relegated to a bit part role he poses no threat and in truth has become an irrelevance to the programme.
I think Bell is the best prospect for going forward. He has the connections, talks well and seemingly lacks Chamberlain's Machiavellian traits .

In his own way Luck is worse than Chapman so don't bother.
Bell will always be the snivelling little schoolboy. No gravitas, not convincing and will always be a lightweight. Tolerated only because of family connection. Lucky to be given a job at all.

Agree with the second but disagree about Luck ......

I wouldn't be too harsh on Chamberlain. It is throwaway stuff with the other presenters. Off air it would be no surprise if they get on pretty well. Would much prefer that to an afternoon of clever dick stuff on RUK.
It was not an easy remit to try and 'sell' racing to the masses and overall I think the ITV team have done a good job. It could easily have sunk. There are bound to be rubbishy bits along the way.
Selecting Francesca has been their biggest result.

I take your point Andrew in Sweden that it's not exclusive to him but bar the two jockeys (who I believe should be banned from any connection with bookies until retired) the others are known outside of racing, which is still really a minority sport and one Nick Luck makes his living from.
I bet mostly on racing but ended up trying to put say a tenner on and being offered 8p and then just to see what happened, would enter 8p and then get told the bet had been rejected anyway probably due to a 10p minimum stake, so not only do they not take the bet but they waste your time when not doing it too.
I stopped betting on football ages ago when I felt it was the officials deciding the outcomes of games due to their iffy decision making yet Betbright would still let me have £2 maximum on football games, so I ended up betting on matches played at silly o'clock in the Outer Mongolian league between Goat Herders United and Yak Yak Rovers just to get through the roll over requirements in time.
And there's little point in contacting any gambling arbitrators or authorities either because by the time they act on it, the clock on the bonus terms will have been run down anyway.
