A Mark Johnstone horse that doesn’t run anything like it’s previous run - has this ever happened before?

Had every chance for my liking. Travelled well in midfield, came there 1.5f out to be no more than 1L off the lead, and didn't pick up and weakened in the final furlong. She won over 6f on a easy track first time and looked all speed. The form didn't work out (2nd, 3rd and 4th all beaten since) and today she was over a stiff 7f. She was dropped in on debut, and only led 1.5f out, so being dropped in not an excuse. I would suggest, non stayer and not good enough, but obviously that isn't good enough who would rather blame Fanning, when he done little wrong.
