How do you do the "quote" thing ?

I've tried copying and pasting but that doesn't seem to work ... so what's the secret ?

I find I need to be on "live view" then there is a quite button. Click on that in the post you want to quite.

Then write your post. Like I have just done

I only use the "Classic" forum with a laptop and that is how I do it.

Yes, it does suck. I only use it when I want to use the quote thingy.

Art.....Hold down the left side of the mouse and scroll across the wording until it all shows blue then right click mouse and select copy from the menu. Then right click and select paste in the box.

I looked at the live view once and never again thank you. Classic is fine for me.
