Backed the winner but the ride on the was unquestionably dodgy....

There are a few too many rides like this on short priced horses round the gaffs at the moment. Seen at least half a dozen in the last couple of weeks that really haven't looked right at all, in all cases on horses around 2-1 or shorter. And in all but one case I hadn't backed them.

And that is of course ignoring the usual plethora of non triers on bigger priced hores in maidens, novice stakes, novice hurdles and bumpers that are an accepted part of the fabric of the sport day in day out.

It would be nice if RUK and ATR would actually be honest about what’s going on. Never gonna happen but if it’s highlighted by the broadcasters then surely that would help stop it. Them pointing it out would almost be like VAR on the football. Highlight these obvious rancid rides and eradicate them....
