another belter there - whoever is advising this guy is taking the proverbial..you wonder how they can be so successful in business and then get landed with a very poor and hugely expensive string...

Have they really done that badly? Trying to buy horses in training is never easy but horses like Beat The Bank, Donjuan Triumphant, Cleonte and Pivoine have done well and the bought unraced 2yo's are doing OK such as Good Birthday yesterday. King Power today will be a big test though at such a crazy price for a filly.

To be fair to Balding he doesn't train all of theirs and the blame for the price tags has to go with whoever is doing the buying on behalf of the owner. Some obscene prices spent when balanced against the calibre of the pedigrees.

Here one minute, next gone. Makes the bickering and ego-jousting evident here regularly so so unnecessary and childish.
Bye Bye Hong Kong owned by King Power is still in the Criterium International at 15:20 Chantilly today.

Diff-rent " An ex RAF pilot at our social club said he would never fly one. He fought in the WW2 and said they are unreliable" They are hardly unreliable or the Royals would not be allowed to fly in them. Very few have been lost servicing the North Sea oil rigs over the past 40 odd years. The last company I worked for made control equipment for rigs and refineries and we had engineers flying to rigs around the world and they tended to regard the flights as a perk. Prior to then I worked beside and looking over Battersea Heliport and never saw any emergencies. Phillip Carter a Chelsea vice president and his son were killed in one a few years going home from a match when theirs crashed in thick fog..
