I had the winner and r/up in reverse forecast ( numbers 3/8 and 8/3) in 20:15 at Uttoxeter and they have voided the bet. Any idea why please ?

NR.. I think

No reduction factor, just plain void ? Seems a little harsh

Always void if a NR

harsh but fair

withdrawn one was 300/1 as well, would probably have been half a mile behind at the line SadSad

A non runner (excluding the removal of a reserve that hasn't been given the opportunity to get into the race) will result in all bets matched prior to the withdrawal being void and the market will be reformed. If reserve runners permutations are removed all bets matched on those permutations will be void, however all other bets will stand. If only one horse finishes the race this market will be settled as a Dead Heat between all combinations of the winning horse.

The market was not reformed....

very lucky if you laid 3&8 reversed, that was 100% a loser ...

harsh but fair

Out of interest, why is it fair to have reductions on a win market when there's a NR before the off but not on Reverse Forecast ?

@luckynot - this comes up on here every couple of months.

No-one has yet been able to explain how a RF could be calculated and applied to a FC or RFC market in a manner which is fair to both backers and layers.

I agree it's a really bad experience to have what should be a winning bet voided because a massive outsider is a NR.

If there'd have been a reduction on that bet, you'd have ended up owing them money!!
