The stewards should at least be asking the question what was amiss at Newton Abbot
The winner, ALL SET TO GO (IRE) appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newton Abbot on 4 June 2018 where the gelding was pulled up and the jockey reported that it stopped quickly. Kevin Frost’s explanation that ALL SET TO GO (IRE) benefited from the re-application of a tongue tie was noted. The gelding was routine tested.
Won its last race wearing one when trained by Paul Nicholls. It makes you wonder why the current trainer never used one until today.
