a diff dns server could only increase speed in locating a webpage you hadn't visited before or since you cleared your cache. It won't speed up the transfer of data at all.

When my IsP's DNS is playing up i switch to the free Google server, IP addresses 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/

I just switch to my vpn, which routes all traffic away from the isp dns server
