Fiddling The Facts - spare ride for Henderson.  One of the smallest mares to jump a fence, over what were then the largest drop fences in the country (Haydock) with the biggest jockey on board. Clouted every fence and never the same mare again.

There was a chaser a number of years back that had lots of ability but struggled to put in a clear round until Thornton got on it. Trained by Nicholls I think. He really made a difference. Under rated as a horseman in his younger days though of course he's never been very good in a tight finish.
