when you bet with PADDY POWER  they have introduced a capping rule that applies  to  any lucky 15s 31s 63s  in there shops
maximum you can win is £1.000 when you  take  there early prices
I had  a lucky 63 last week 5 winners and a loser I worked it out with there so called best odds guaranteed to £16.500.
they paid me £10.087 took nearly 6.500 of the bet has they applied there capping rule   so be carefull when anyone has these bets with paddy poor..

That's disgusting, you could win £250k with major bookies on one day 40 years ago!
Report razzamataz June 3, 2018 11:19 AM BST
those were the good days steward

not many people know the £1,000 rule.
Report razzamataz June 3, 2018 12:38 PM BST
one extreme example which could apply to someone is  if anyone went in and had a grand on and took there best odds guaranteed price 0f 10.1 and it won  at sp 33.1  in paddy power shops  you would only get 12grand back 10grand your winning  1grand  your stake back and there 1grand capping rule   obviously punters say you would get 34grand back not in the rip off merchants paddy poor.

OP is unclear. What is capped to £1,000 and how does it relate to your being paid more than 10 times that?
Report JML June 3, 2018 2:16 PM BST
I understand it to be that they work out how much you would have been paid without the BOG.
Max win is then £1000 on top of that amount.
Report razzamataz June 3, 2018 2:25 PM BST
ram this is there capping rule
                              paddy power     concessions
the maximum payment to any one client in respect of any paddy power concession  i.e best odds guaranteed prices in shops is £1.000per day .
Report JML June 3, 2018 2:31 PM BST
What would your returns have been if you'd not taken advantage of their "concession" and placed the bet at SP?
Report razzamataz June 3, 2018 2:34 PM BST
j m l  you got it mate my bet came to £9.087 without b o g plus 1.000 if the best odds were applied has in other shops I would have had £16.500 I had taken  7.2 about  an 8.1 winner sp which I did nt get  another example they ruled 4 me on a 7/2 winner that finished 4.1 sp
Report s.kenbo June 3, 2018 2:42 PM BST
I have heard about this rule before. It's an absolute piss take.

As JML says, what would your return have been to SP, and not to the prices you took?
Report JML June 3, 2018 2:44 PM BST
This is how I would argue the case.

Without the BOG offer you would have placed the bet at SP.

So your maximum winnings should be the SP returns +1000.

How can you take a concession and end up with thousands less?
Report razzamataz June 3, 2018 2:45 PM BST
about 14grand at sp
Report mouse muldoon June 3, 2018 2:46 PM BST
Proper pisstake that, almost enough to make a man turn to betting singles on an exchange.
Report JML June 3, 2018 2:46 PM BST

That rule can apply to my interpretation just as much as any other.
Report razzamataz June 3, 2018 2:47 PM BST
but they keep banging the drum everyday about there best odds guaranteed and they are not
Report geordie1956 June 3, 2018 2:47 PM BST
the bookmakers are rancid...not fit for purpose and yet repeatedly get away with creating artificial rules to limit payouts which most are unaware of
Report s.kenbo June 3, 2018 2:49 PM BST
JML's post at 2.44pm is the way to go imo.
Report JML June 3, 2018 2:49 PM BST
I wouldn't take a penny less than £14K +£1K and would take them to the small claims court
if they refused.
Report razzamataz June 3, 2018 2:58 PM BST
j m l  and others this bet has already got to I b a s on the grounds that this is false advertising ie best odds guaranteed I will post the results when they return  but I do think I have very little chance of getting anywhere but I have gave it a go
Report razzamataz June 3, 2018 3:00 PM BST
jml I may well give that ago in the small claims court thankyou for your suggestion
Report JML June 3, 2018 3:34 PM BST
razzamataz--I think a better idea is to get in contact with Paul Fairhead at    betdisputeadvice@gmail.com          He's the real expert.

Just explain to him that you think you should be paid the SP amount + £1000 because the PP rule is not clear.

will do j m l  thankyou for your advice.

split your stake by 20 and put one line on for yourself, one for your brother, one for your pet canary ....
Report maleuk01. June 4, 2018 11:52 AM BST
Piddly power makes it up as they go along. Worst of all high street bookies. Dont even do double odds 1 winner anymore on L15's.
