Why was Princess Haya not on the podium alongside her husband and daughter during the Prize Presentation Ceremony? Winning the Derby after firing so many blanks,...that was a sad sight; Sheikh Mo mentioning his daughter brought him luck...what about the woman who is the mother of his child? She was there too!

Sheikh Mo has only facilitated those involved in horse racing and those whose assets are in the vicinity of horse racing activities; he has not facilitated me one jot, and that is a fact.

I'd rather his enormous wealth - accrued (legitimately) - would go to more needy causes than to feather the nests of those involved in this sport of kings. This is just my own opinion, others may differ.

That wouldn't have worked. The wells have been emptying fast. Dubai has been a net importer of oil and gas for years.

The source of the money is tariff-free trade and financial wizardry (or "borrowing it", to use the technical term).

SPEND PLENTY MONEY  .. to have a derby winner .  that was his goal  .  took many many years .. done it in his blue  colours .  newmarket should put him up for a KNIGHT HOOD FOR SERVICES TO RACING INDUSTRY   .

In hindsight needed a horse with the right kind of pedigree to win a derby when you look at it is one that could have come from over the water,probably not what Sheikh Mo had in mind originally.

I have it on good authority his actual words were "Have you seen the size of my drill?"

She replied "Why is it important?"

His response was simply "Yes it is because fluid is forced under pressure down the centre of the drill stem to clean out the hole continuously during drilling."

An inaccurate line that is trotted out as often as his horses.

Others would buy the horses at the sales instead and fill the boxes in a trainer's yard and would probably come back with more and better horses at the sales for their spending budgets or would be able to even increase their spending budget too. As well as it potentially bringing  back owners who left the sport due to being unable to compete financially with Sheikh Mo and might even introduce new owners who looked into it and thought it wasn't worth the returns.

He has certainly done his part for British racing but it's like for example lauding an individual owner of a top PL football team as some kind of saviour, when in reality there are plenty of others whose money can do the same thing too.
