Given that he is on the ATR payroll you would think it is not beyond the realms of possibility that someone could just ask him and expect an answer.
Instead we get people like Fitzy going 'I know nothing'. Very helpful.

Very confusing especially when he turned up for one ride (last) at Cartmel on saturday which was a good ride btw, disagree he was over rated at his peak.

Geraghty has been gone at the game for a long while. It can be traced back to when he started taking the scenic route, particularly over fences but frequently also over the smaller obstacles. This season he's given up the outside to no-one. It's a brave man's occupation and Geraghty must recognise that his bottle's gone - and one shouldn't criticise him for that. Any criticism stems from the fact that he's doing himself and his mounts a disservice by continuing to ride.
He didn't look great at Cheltenham in March and he got worse as he continued riding without confidence at both Aintree and Punchestown festivals.

I think tactically he has been forced into a corner, in a similar way to what happened to AP. Assuming you are trying to win races then it appears JP doesn't appear to acknowledge that being somewhere near the front end isn't such a bad idea. If you hold horses up on a regular basis you cannot afford to be making mistakes on a regular basis. If you are riding loser after loser then your confidence is going to be shot to pieces. Look at the way in general Mullins, Elliott and Henderson have their horses positioned. JP presumably hasn't noticed.

Retainer with that outfit always a poisoned chalice. Who knows just what goes on in the citadel?
Definitely time to hang up the whip and avoid further humiliation although that is generally not the tactic employed by his boss.
