What is more astounding is that they actually RE-Opened a Market for an IRISH PHOTO-Finish.
Even Leopardstown did NOT RE-Open the other evening - which is ridiculous. |

Richard@betfair: We can only open and suspend as our OCRs tells us and we are on the phones for the duration of any Photos/Stewards. The market did not trade out which suggest that we suspended before the result was known. We have followed our usual protocol for Photos/Stewards and we are satisfied that bets were not placed before the result was announced.
hmmmmmmm |

The 2nd went from 1.3 to 11.0 at the same time as I heard the Irish lady announce the result on LV. Then BF suspended. They've got this one totally wrong.

me: how would they explain the sudden price move??
Richard@betfair: I cant answer that. Maybe another replay shown on TV, its hard to say but it seems they are happy with the market management in this instance. |

And how can they explain that I heard the announcement before they suspended?

Photo markets can be extremely volatile and large moves in price are no surprise. Having reviewed the replay there was a 53 second gap between the photo being called and the result being announced.
We opened the stewards inquiry at 20:05:28 and Suspended on the OCRs command at 20:06:17 a gap of 49 seconds. Operators are on the phone with OCRS throughout this entire process to ensure we open and suspend as quickly as possible. Basically nonsense reply, the bloke on the phone obviously f'd up and they not gonna admit it.... |
