Landed a couple of touches with Hombre Casado and Caradoc (despite the ride) in nothing races but many others backed at a better level and consistently fail to deliver: Stephensons Rocket, Sabador and Simpson at Chester. Even today it looked as if Lordan performed a miracle to finish out of the extended places on Simpson.
Something like 1 winner in the last 25. Tonight, Akbar Shah massively improved second at 20/1 but heavily punted favourite in the last absolutely woeful.

Hombre Casado did follow up the gamble but will Caradoc (who was much more impressive) do likewise? At least the extra distance and hopefully this time Cosgrave won't be trusting to luck in getting a run.

Basically, should have won. Far too much action on leaving the stalls and not enough when it really mattered. Conceded first run to market rivals and in the end was just staying on. Either he should have made the running (making it a test of stamina) or sat much closer to the winner.
